As skydivers we assume that our reserve packers and riggers have all the tools to make sure that our equipment is free from any safety bulletins. However this is an incorrect assumption, this is an area that has many problems with information being lost in either the passage of time or in some cases never even making it to the end user.

As skydivers we are taught many survival skills but blindly rely on others when it comes to equipment safety, so why not improve your survival chances and search for any safety notices, safety bulletin's on your own equipment

This tool can help you stay safe, help your reserve packer or rigger and give him your search results to discuss any work required or to explain any technical issues.

All you need is your equipment details, complete the online form and press search and the database will show you a list of every safety notice that could be relevant to your parachute equipment.

Your equipment profile will be automatically registered into the database so when any future safety notices are uploaded the system will check to see if its relevant to your equipment and if so you will receive an e-mail the same day as its issued for you to read.

You are allowed one free search for any parachute system and be able to set up an equipment profile, the equipment profile will show that a safety notice search has been completed on your equipment.

In addition (with your permission) your rigger can then log into your equipment profile to complete an online report stating that the listed safety notices have been complied with, you can then allow others parties such as drop zones to log onto your equipment profile if they have any doubts about your equipment or you can print off the report and keep it with your documents so you have a personal equipment safety notice history with your rig.

You will be able to register one set of kit as either lost or stolen, our database will search for your equipment and if not found will stay alert and keep searching in case it becomes registered at any point in the future.

If you sell your equipment you can go back into your equipment profile and update it with the new information to make sure the equipment you own is registered for future safety notices and perform a new safety search.

Please bare in mind this search is based on all 4 main parachute items that make up your complete assembly. Your rigger will be able to do a more thorough component search which requires more technical knowledge. However if you believe you have some rigging technical know how and want to know more yourself, then you can always register as a rigger and get all the benefits which that registration offers

Only €15 a Year

With the skydivers registration you can do all the above and you get the extra benefits as listed below

  • E-mail support to answer questions you have on any safety notice or any equipment concern and receive an expert reply from rigger examiners and parachute manufacturers, if we can not answer your question we will take further steps to finding a solution for you.
  • You will be allowed up to 6 safety searches annually for your personal equipment
  • You will be able to set up two equipment profiles and register up to 2 sets of parachute equipment for safety updates
  • You will be able to advertise your parachute equipment for free in our classified adverts
  • In addition you will be supporting the skydive safety website and help us develop it even further giving you even more future benefits
  • After a short period of settling in we will upload some reserve packing inspection forms linked to the database for your rigger to complete, this will allow the following:
  • Your rigger can save the form and save it with the customers equipment profile or print out a copy for you to keep with your rig,
  • The system will save all inspection forms to build up a complete rigging history of the equipment which you can view at any time, this form can also include any and all rigging work done prior to any reserve repack.
  • When it comes to selling the equipment you can show the maintenance history and that the rig is free from any safety defects and safety notices.

This is just the start we will be building on these extra benefits as we develop even more features.

Finally this project has taken hundreds of hours to complete and over 8,000 pounds sterling in hard cash so if you find this system useful please help financially by one of the means below so we can continue to improve safety within skydiving.
