Display parachuting allows many people to witness skydiving first hand when attending anything from a major car rally to a local school open day.

Most parachute teams exit into freefall and deploy the parachute while carrying smoke so the crowd on the ground can see, the teams then land in an arena surrounded by a crowd of onlookers which can be a small group or many thousands.

Skydiving displays are usually sponsored by a local business or event and the skydivers can fly giant display flags or even have the companies logo on the parachute.
