Only €45 a Year Less than 1 reserve repack

Read the User Manual

As reserve parachute packers & riggers we have 3 main areas of responsibility

  1. We have to ensure the equipment in our care is thoroughly inspected and free from any defects
  2. We have to ensure the equipment is correctly assembled and packed ready for use.
  3. We have to ensure that the equipment is free from any safety notices, safety bulletins etc issued by manufactures, parachute associations and government agencies.

Item 1 & 2 are skills taught during training courses and once qualified allows us to put these skills safely into practice, however item 3 has proved to be a very difficult and time consuming task until now.

All you need is your customers equipment details, complete the online form and when it is completed press search and the database will show you a list of every safety notice that could be relevant to that parachute system. (The current phase 1 version only shows manufacturers safety bulletins)

The full search will show information from all manufacturers, parachute associations and government agencies. In some cases the parachute associations have duplicated the manufacturers information and in others they have included their own requirements.

These duplications however are no longer a problem as we have included a skydive safety option which allows for only one of the duplications to be shown, this will usually be the original manufacturers safety bulletin. However if the manufacturer information is not detailed enough or not available then it will be replaced by one that has at least the same and more relevant information.

In some cases parachute associations and manufacturers disagree. In this rare occurrence we will then show both safety notices under the skydive safety option as we know that riggers in some countries are legally required to follow the parachute association rules as opposed to the manufacturers.

In addition: (Some of these will only be available on completion of Phase 3)

  • You will be able to complete an online report, stating that the listed safety notices have been complied with saving you time on future repacks, or you can print off the report and give a copy to to your customer so they have an equipment safety notice history with their rig.
  • E-mail support to answer questions you have on any safety notices or any equipment concerns and receive an expert reply from rigger examiners and parachute manufacturers, if we can not answer your question we will take further steps to finding a solution for you.
  • You will be allowed unlimited safety searches and set up unlimited equipment profiles and register for all safety updates to be sent direct to you
  • You will be able to register equipment as lost or stolen, our database will search for your equipment and if not found will stay alert and keep searching in case it becomes registered at any point in the future.
  • When you log onto your customers equipment profile it will show a flag showing a new safety notice has been issued and is pending or that the system in clear of all safety notices.
  • You will be able to advertise unlimited parachute equipment for free in our classified adverts
  • You will get full access to our skydivers Directory which is a listing of Parachute Manufacturers, Parachute Associations, Dropzones, Display Teams, Riggers, Parachute Dealers, Boogie Organisers, Skydiving Schools, Rigging Supplies, Jumpsuit Manufacturers, Magazines & Publications, Wind Tunnels and more.
  • In addition you will be supporting the skydive safety web site and helping us develop it even further giving you even more future benefits
  • Access to the full safety database search parameters by, date, manufacturer, category, severity, subject, and country, this is an amazing tool and can help you research any subject related to parachutes equipment
  • You will have access to the safety notice database study guide so you can search component parts and learn every mistake that has been made in each category. For example do a search for lines and you will get a list of every line problem that has been reported. Each search will give you a summary that has been written to show how you can prevent the same mistakes from getting into use and improve your knowledge base.

You will also get access to view all forums and permission to submit to all forums, however some will require prior proof of qualifications, for example to submit to riggers agenda items you will have to be a registered rigger etc.

You will also get a highlighted advertisements linking direct to your own web site within our Skydivers Directory section that can be accessed by anyone looking through the web site.

You can choose to be e-mailed every time we update certain parts of the web site such as the riggers knowledge base, reserve packing manuals, training videos, publications and riggers minutes etc.

Please feel free to have a look around the web site and contribute anything that would be an asset to other riggers and reserve packers and do not hesitate to let us know what more we can do for you.

On completion of phase three we will upload the reserve packing inspection forms linked to the database, this will allow the following:

For UK riggers and reserve packers you will be able to log on and select a customers equipment profile, this will then open a new reserve inspection form with all the details completed from the equipment profile. You can instantly see that all safety notices have been previously searched and no new safety notices have been issued on this equipment or you will get a list of new safety notices relevant to this equipment.

You can then complete the form and save it with the customers equipment profile and print out a copy for signing to give to your customer, if you prefer to have a local copy you can also "save as" to a directory of your choice.

The system will save all inspection forms to build up a complete rigging history of the equipment which you and your customer can view at any time, this form can also include any and all rigging work done prior to any reserve repack.

For other countries that only use the reserve packing forms, you can log on and open a customers equipment profile, this will take you to a copy of the reserve packing form, which already has your customers equipment profile completed, you can then add to this form with the new reserve repack date etc and print it out for signing and giving to your customers.

The online form will save all new data and additionally it can be linked to a rigging worksheet showing all maintenance work done prior to a reserve repack. Click the forms to see a draft copy of what is being developed. Reserve Packing Data Card or the BPA Record of Inspection Form each form completed will be allocated an individual serial number

On completion of the forms the system will automatically locate and copy your logo and company details to the form giving your customers the ability to contact you when they need to return for a new reserve repack etc.

The system can also store all your customers completed reserve inspection forms and automatically e-mail them on your behalf prior to the next reserve repack. You can choose the time to send the e-mail by selecting 20 or 30 days prior to the due date.

Finally this project has taken hundreds of hours to complete and over 8,000 pounds sterling in hard cash so if you find this system useful please help financially by one of the means below so we can continue to improve safety within skydiving.

Would you like to sponsor SID, if so please contact us as we would like to listen to any proposal that will help info@skydive-safety.com let us know what we can do for you in return

Please let your members know about skydive safety
