Wing Suits what you should know was a presentation done by Scott Campos at the Parachute Industry Association (PIA) Symposium in 2008 Wingsuit flying is skydiving using a special jumpsuit, called a wingsuit, The wingsuit creates the airfoil shape with fabric sewn between the legs and under the arms. It is also commonly known as a birdman suit. A wingsuit can also be used for BASE jumping with extremely experienced skydivers The wingsuit flier wears parachute equipment designed for skydiving or BASE jumping. The flier will deploy the parachute at a planned altitude and unzip the arm wings so they can reach up to the control toggles and fly to a normal parachute landing. If you are an experienced Wing Suit Coach and would like to contribute to this page please e-mail info@skydive-safety.com We are also looking for a Technical Adviser for this section of the web site and a forum moderator, if you are interested please contact us with a short skydiving CV as we will be confirming all technical advisers in March 200 |
